LHS BOOSTER CLUB FOOD BOOTH FUNDRAISER

The LHS Booster Club Food Booth will be serving all your summertime favorites on the Lexington City Hall Parking lot Friday night starting at 5:30 p.m.  Saturday, they will open at 5:30 p.m. for your dining pleasure.  This is a fundraiser event for our local High School athletics.  Come out and support their efforts!!!

 

 

RECYCLED FASHION SHOW, “Junk 2 Funk” Great Fun and Green Too!!!

Returning for 2017!  Please join us on the City Hall Parking Lot on Friday night, August 25th at 7 p.m. for what will again be one of the most outrageous and creative fashion shows ever to hit the runways of Lexington, Missouri.

 

The Lexington Community Fair Board is inviting both young and old to bring out their most ingenious and trashy costumes and fashions created from the likes of recycled items ranging from milk jugs to inflatable pool toys to compete for cash prizes in a fashion show like no other in Lexington!

 

Come see extraordinary people transforming garbage into glamour and strutting their stuff down the cat walk.  Those who come to watch the event are encouraged to wear their own homespun creations which relates to this year’s overall theme of the Fair   “EXPRESS YOURSELF”

 

All entries for this event must be sustainable garments created by contestants out of recycled materials.  These can include cardboard, steel/tin, recycled fabric or clothing, aluminum, plastics, paper cartons, chipboard, newspaper, mixed papers (magazines, junk mail, and catalogs), paper bags and glass.  New items may be used in small amounts (i.e. tape, glue, small embellishments).

 

To enter an outfit and wear it in this event, please fill out an entry form and turn it in at City Hall by Monday, August 21, 2017---Entry forms are available at City Hall or online at the Lexington Community Fair Website.

Entries will be judged by an impartial panel of judges.

 

Don’t miss the 5th celebration of recycling and design in Community Fair history!!!!!!  All entries are also encouraged to participate in the Lexington Community Fair Parade on Saturday, August 26th at 11:00 a.m.

 

 

BINGO Under the Big Tent!

If you are feeling lucky, don’t pass up the “chance” to join us to try your luck.  Bingo for all ages will be located on the City Hall Parking LOT on Friday night, August 25th following the “Recycled Fashion Show”.

 

This fun event is open to all ages.  Cards can be purchased for $1 per card per game.  Winner takes half of the proceeds for each game.

 

Bingo fun will also take place under the “Big Tent” located on the City Parking LOT on Main Street between 9th and 10th Street on Saturday August 26th, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon.
