Please join us at the 4-Life Center at 811 S. Business 13 on Thursday morning August 24th , 2017 from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.  Biscuits and gravy will be served for a cost of $3.00 per person.  Carryout available.  In fact, you are welcome to join us every Thursday at this time to get your day off to a great start.

 

 

TOBY’s Carnival opens Thursday

The Merry-Go-Round will be spinning and crowds will be milling when Toby’s Carnival of Marceline, Missouri pulls into Lexington, MO for the Community Fair.

 

 The carnival will be one of the anchor events for the fair and will be located on Franklin Ave. and 10th Street in the Downtown area. The carnival will kick off on Thursday night, August 24th.  For $20, carnival goers can enjoy an unlimited number of rides during “Bracelet Time” 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday Nights.  The carnival will open at 1:00 p.m. Saturday with two “Bracelet times” available 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m..

 

Advance purchase of single armbands will be sold for $15 (A $5 savings!) prior to the official Opening Night of the carnival.  These discount armbands will ONLY be available for purchase at Lexington City Hall (919 Franklin Ave.) from August 17th through August 24th. These $15 armbands must be purchased prior to the Thursday  night opening of the carnival.  City Hall Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m

 

 

 

CRAZY FOR CUPCAKES

 It’s time to indulge in all things sweet….What better way to celebrate Lexington Fair Days this year, than adding cupcakes to the mix!!!!!

 

 Come celebrate your love of cupcakes on Wednesday, August 23rd in front of the Lafayette County Courthouse from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. during the annual “Strutt Your Mutt Dog Show” and on Thursday, August 24th before, during and after the LHS Pep Rally also from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

 

 Lexington Cub Scout Pack 318 will be “Baking-Up” a variety of crowd-pleasing options as a fundraiser for the troop.

 

 Hey cupcake fans!!  Time to show your cupcake love!!  Bring the whole family to support the local scouting troop at this returning event to downtown Lexington, MO.

LHS FOOTBALL PEP RALLY

Come support the Lexington High School Football Team and Coaches as they kick off the first game of the regular season.  It’s time to get fired up about 2017 LHS Football and of course all of the supporting groups like the cheerleaders and the band.  This event will be held in front of the Lafayette County Courthouse on Thursday August 24th, at 7:00 p.m.

 

 

 

“COME JOIN THE PARTY!!!”

As August temperatures continue to soar, get ready to cool down and party with DJ Mark Neer on the City Hall parking lot on Thursday evening following the LHS Pep Rally in front of the Lafayette County Courthouse.

 

The entire community is invited to enjoy this FUN, FUN , FUN  Event!!!!

 

As the music sets the tone for the evening, Fair Goers will encounter a variety of fun and exciting contests like the hula-hoop contest and the ever-popular limbo contest.

 

In addition to the above mentioned contests please join local home-town  favorite DJ Mark Neer in a new first time ever event at the annual Lexington Community Fair called “The Price is Right”. Every guest attending this event will be given a raffle ticket, 5 names will be drawn at a time and those five contestants will have to come up on stage and write down an educated guess to the closest amount that the prize is worth and whoever gets the closest will win that prize. This contest will be repeated until all items have been given away.

 

All of the above “Fun” will kick off at 8 pm and will last until 10 pm. Please don’t miss the music, fun events, and enjoyable experience that the entire community, can enjoy as the downtown area comes alive with the sights, sounds, lights, laughter and  fellowship of opening night for Toby’s Carnival also.
